Hello! I am an English and media studies teacher and have been teaching for 7 years, 3 of which have been spent in the Middle East. My resources span across KS3, GCSE, A Level and IB. I'm a big fan of creative, eye-catching displays that help children to learn and help themselves in the classroom so many of my resources are snippets of things I have in my own classroom. My banner photo shows how you could use them in your own setting. I hope my resources are useful to you!

INformation on the case of Derek Bentley. I used this in conjunction with the film Let Him Have it and conducted a group interaction speaking and listening activity on the death penalty. Could be used with Dead Man Walking also.

I have included a powerpoint with tasks on as well as 4 sheets detailing information on different case studies. Finally, there is a speaking and listening self assessment sheet. The video in the powerpoint is on youtube and is Jeremy Irons talking about why he is against capital punishment.

The Myth of Sysiphus and Absurdism Albert Camus

This power point is a series of activities based around the Myth of Sysiphus, both the original and the Albert Camus essay. I used it as part of part 4 of the English A international Baccalaureate language and literature syllabus. Also included are the texts you will need for the students to read. This relates to the text 'The Outsider/The Stranger' The first slide refers to the original myth, the other activities refer to the Camus essay.
